Over 15 years of development and growth, far Development Corporation Additives and Petroleum Products (APP) has become a production company strong in lubricants, the main function are: Manufacturing and trading of products and lubricants storage, brake and hydraulic fluid and other products derived oil, chemicals and other liquids dedicated service and new materials for industrial, consumer and defense security, and especially investment in other areas important to restructure and expand business, striving to become a leading company in areas in Vietnam.

On 28/08/1996, by decision of the Minister of 2365/QD-TCCB Industry Development Company Additives and Petroleum Products was established on the basis of separate additives Center from the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry Industry Study, became one of the Science and Technology unit at the forefront of the transition from administrative and professional mechanism, the state subsidy to business accounting activities.
On 19/08/2003, by decision of the Minister of 133/QD-BCN Industry Co. transition to operating under joint-stock company model, where the State holds controlling shares (51%). And from early 2006 until now, implementation of the policy to sell state shares, the company turned to operate the model State Corporation holds no shares - associated companies.

At the time of establishment, from a small unit working on research of state subsidies to production and business activities, APP company faced many difficulties and challenges. The land fund and the infrastructure is not available, term appointments of capital, APP had to go rent working offices and medium business, medium build step by step basis.

So far, APP Company has plants and a modern factory in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, with a capacity of over 30,000 tons per year, APP is able to deliver over 150 of these product categories Group: lubricants, greases, additives, chemicals, brake oil, emulsified oil metal processing, detergents, coolant, new materials ... service for the transportation sector, power sector, mining, industrial plants, chemical ...
